Wow. I played my first ratchet and clank In 2021 with the 2016 version and enjoyed it a lot for the gameplay and just recently finished rift apart. I had NO IDEA It wasn't a 1 to 1. That's so upsetting

Also, Nero gets one of the best moments in the series in DMC V during his fight with Vergil. The sad strings are playing, the game is at its most melodramatic, and if it's your first time playing it, Vergil is probably kicking your ass. The player might be a little frustrated at having to re-do the same fight they just struggled with as Dante... which is why Nero yelling "FUCK YOU" as he unveils his Devil Trigger for the first time is so satisfying. His theme literally starts playing over the violins and it's clear that this is not only Nero's moment, but your moment as a player.

Dude, it took me so many watches to realise the significance of that last part. The scene where james first sees maria playing while the narrator says: "I'd rather just move on than delude myself that what i loved is still alive in something different." If you know the plot of SH2 you would get it. I'm not spoiling it for those who don't though, since one of the main appeals of this video is that it's spoiler free and even people who never played silent hill can watch it (i only started getting into the series after watching this video anyways and it spoilled nothing).

For the past few months, I've been passively trying to remember the name of this game so I could watch this video again. I'm not sure how I got the urge to re-watch it after 7 years, but it's a fun video. Anyway, I finally discovered the name of the game by telling ChatGPT what I could recall, and here I am on the video again.

The way I see it, while she is submitting to death; instead of seeing the fire as Angela walking into her own personal Hell due to the guilt she feels over what she had done to put a stop to her torment, I chose to see it as fire purifying her soul. While she does die, her purified soul moves on to a (hopefully) happier life. I'd rather see it that way than think Angela's soul is forever in fiery torment because she ended the lives of the people who hurt her in the worst possible way. Next to Mary, Angela did not deserved to die/be punished for actions out of her control.

I think the big thing with the remake is that it shows the views we have these days. The early aughts are about being "KEWL", The late 2010s onward is just sanitised because "le gasp, kids might learn a naughty word"... in a game with more guns than Burt Gummer's dream house, one literally named "Rip You a New One".

If you want a good Ratchet and Clank revival, just play Hi-Fi Rush. It's not a shooter like R&C, but it has the strong capitalist commentary and heart of the old PS2 R&C games, and the more light-hearted tone of the later games.

2d samus is a ninja, but 3d samus is a walking tank and I kinda hope it stays that way. Even if prime 4 has smoother movement, it probably will, I hope they still show that her suit has weight to it
